The Salem State music faculty present their fall recital in a program that ranges from classical to jazz. Faculty performers include Jean Danton, Steve Lacey, Cyndi Napierkowski, Ashley Offret, Beverly Soll, Eileen Yarrison and Holly Zagaria. Salem State students Max Beauregard and Jacqueline Hernandez will join them. Admission is free, although goodwill donations at the door are welcome.

Make a Fall candle with Jash from local candle makers Soy Much Brighter Candle Co.. You’ll learn about our candle making process and how to blend fragrance oils to make a custom scent. You’ll be pouring into a spooky, smokey grey 10oz jar. Since candles need to cure in place for at least 12 hours, attendees can pick up their candle the next day (we can mail your candle if needed). Get in the holiday spirit and print your own holiday cards or any design of your choice! In this class students will be introduced to the printmaking process of linocut. The class will cover the techniques in carving linoleum, composition, ink mixing, and printing.  At your own pace, participants will learn how to create a design and carve it in linoleum using carving tools.  You will learn how to ink and print their linoleum blocks by hand.  In a relaxed and welcoming environment, participants will create many beautiful prints of their own as well as collaborate with others.  This class is suitable for beginners and can be adjusted for all levels of experience.  This class is taught by Brooke Lambert, who is a professional printmaker and painter.
